Funeral Held for Turkish Family Killed in Germany Arson Attack

 

A funeral ceremony took place for a Bulgarian-Turkish family of four who tragically lost their lives in an arson attack in Solingen, Germany. The ceremony, held at the Religious Affairs Turkish-Islamic Union (DİTİB) Solingen Central Mosque, was attended by family members, Turkey’s Consul General in Düsseldorf, Ali İhsan İzbul, and local residents. The bodies of the victims will be transported to Istanbul via the DİTİB Funeral Transfer Assistance Fund and then taken to Bulgaria for burial. The arson incident resulted in the deaths of İsmail Zhilov (29), Kıymet Zhilov (28), and their daughters Gizem (5) and Elis (3 months), with several others injured and the building rendered uninhabitable.
