G7 Leaders’ Summit Commences in Japan

The 3-day G7 Leaders’ Summit began today in Hiroshima, Japan, under the presidency of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Leaders such as Joe Biden, Rishi Sunak, Justin Trudeau, Giorgia Meloni, Emmanuel Macron, and Olaf Scholz attended. They visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and laid wreaths at the victims’ mausoleum. Biden’s visit marks the second by a US president. Discussions will cover global security issues, including Ukraine, North Korea, China, the global economy, and technology. Ukrainian President Zelenskiy is expected to surprise attendees with his presence.
