The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,800 since Israel’s attacks began on October 7, 2023. In a statement issued during the ongoing ceasefire, the ministry said five bodies, including two recovered from rubble, and four injured people were brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours.
Since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect on October 10, at least 526 people have been killed, 717 bodies recovered from debris, and 1,447 people injured. The ministry said the total number of injured since October 7 has reached 171,555.
