Gaza Health System Near Collapse as Medicines Run Out

The Gaza Strip is facing a catastrophic medical shortage, with over half of essential medicines and nearly all medical supplies depleted. Hospitals can no longer perform surgeries or diagnostics, leaving chronic and cancer patients at severe risk.

Doctors say many hospitals were destroyed during the war and vital medicines have not entered Gaza for months. Patients report missing most of their prescribed drugs and being unable to afford alternatives.

The Palestinian Health Ministry warned that 52% of essential medicines and 71% of medical supplies have completely run out, calling the situation “catastrophic.”
