Georgia is fighting the forest fires in both Borjomi and Kvareli. The Borjomi fire has been burning since August 19th while the Borjomi fire started last Thursday. The reason behind the fires is still unknown. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili directed the army to the location.
The Emergency Service in Georgia stated that many institutions such as Border Police Air Force and Emergency Service of Interior Ministry, National Guard of the Defense Forces and National Forestry Agency are working on the extinguishment.
