German Climbers Skied on Mount Ararat

A group of German climbers who climbed to the top of Türkiye’s Mount Ararat, which is visited by thousands of local and foreign climbers every year, descended part of the mountain by skiing. The group, wearing their skiing equipment at 4200 meters, skied about at least 1000 meters, said Muhammed Akkuş, President of Iğdır Ağrı Mountain Search and Rescue and Mountaineering Sports Club, who recorded them while climbing the mountain.

“Not only the climbing, but also skiing, is actually suitable for Mount Ararat,” said Akkuş.
