German Defense Minister Warns of Russia’s Aggression

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Russia is becoming “increasingly aggressive,” citing repeated violations of Polish and Estonian airspace. Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum, Pistorius stressed that Moscow is testing NATO’s resolve and undermining European security.

He underlined that Germany spends €9 billion annually to support Ukraine, providing Patriot systems and advanced weapons. Pistorius said, “Russia has escalated its attacks against Ukraine to an unprecedented level of brutality. Putin does not want peace.”

Estonia, the Netherlands, and EU officials also highlighted recent Russian drone and aircraft violations, stressing the need for stronger European air defense and closer cooperation with Ukraine.
