German Public Transportation Workers Resume Strikes

A total of 90,000 employees went on strike at the call of the United Service Trade Union, yesterday. Employees went on strike in many states, especially in Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Rhineland-Palatinate. While some employees used bicycles or electric scooters to get to work on time, others preferred taxis.

The union demands that employers improve working conditions, including shifts to be shortened, paying extra wages for night shifts, and increasing salaries in some regions.
