Germany shuts down last 3 nuclear power plants

Twelve years after the decision of abandoning nuclear energy due to its risks of causing severe disasters, Germany has shut down its last three nuclear plants and a total of 26 reactors have been turned off. The three facilities, named Isar 2, Neckarwestheim 2 and Emsland, had been kept working because of an amendment from last year to delay their closure.
