Giant Fissure Splits Olive Orchard in Hatay Village After Earthquake

A massive fissure, approximately 200 meters wide and 30 meters deep, was created in Tepehan Village of Hatay Altınözü District, Türkiye after the earthquake. The rift split the 35-decare olive orchard down the middle, causing concern among local residents. The fissure was captured from the air using a drone and some residents reported hearing a loud explosion and seeing a green light during the earthquake. Aziz Gündüz, a local, said he heard a huge explosion but didn’t see it, and now the field is ruined. Abdullah Temizkan, another resident, said the explosion came from the area and there was green smoke coming out of it.
