Giant Humpback Swallows Young Kayaker in Chile

A giant humpback whale swallowed a kayaker named Adrian Simancas for a few seconds and released him back off the coast of Punta Arenas in the South American country of Chile.

“I felt like I was being lifted, but it was too strong to be a wave. I went under the water and thought I was being swallowed. I thought I was finished; I thought I was dead. I spent three seconds there,” said the young kayaker.

“I turned on the camera and heard a wave crashing loudly behind me. When I turned around, I couldn’t see anything. So that was the only time I was truly scared. Because I couldn’t see Adrian for three seconds. Then he suddenly jumped out without the kayak and a second later the kayak appeared and then I saw its fin,” said Adrian Simancas’ father, Dell Simancas.
