Eighteen artists from five nations gathered in Türkiye’s Osmancık district in Çorum to capture its historical and natural beauty for the 1st International Watercolor Festival. Painters from Türkiye, Kosovo, Iran, Bulgaria, and Russia depicted local landmarks on canvas, later donating their works to the municipality for a public exhibition. Reflecting on the inspiring scenery, participant Aynur Akalın noted that the town’s lush nature and magnificent historical bridge “reflects the light very well.” Highlighting the event’s creative success, Iranian artist Ladan Orangi praised the “very energetic” streets around the Beyler Çelebi Mosque, demonstrating how “the texture of history and painting intertwined.”
