The “Global Sumud Flotilla,” supported by activists from 44 countries, will depart for Gaza on Wednesday, September 10, after reaching Tunisia.
Organizers say more than 130 activists will board over 50 boats, each carrying around half a ton of aid, making it the largest naval mission to Gaza so far. The fleet began its journey in Barcelona on August 31 and was welcomed by thousands upon arrival in Tunisia.
The flotilla is expected to reach Gaza later this month, though the Israeli Navy is anticipated to attempt to intercept the ships, as in previous aid missions.
