Greece’s Syntagma Square set to open in June

The restoration work in the Greece’s Parliament Square (Syntagma) located in Greek capital city of Athens, was started in September 2021. The works were planned to be completed in March 2022 but they were delayed due to the discovery of ancient artifacts during the excavations and the construction of network infrastructure projects. Later on the restoration works that started again after the disruptions and covering Mitropoleos, Ermou and Servias streets, came to an end. The Municipality of Athens announced that Syntagma Square, which houses the Greek Parliament, the Old Royal Palace, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and many bureaucratic offices, will reopen to the public on June 15.
