Greek Workers Strike Over Low Wages

Thousands of workers protested in Athens during a 24-hour nationwide strike demanding higher wages to counter rising living costs.

Transport services, including ferries and flights, were disrupted as Greece’s largest unions mobilized. Demonstrators gathered outside parliament, calling for wage hikes and solutions to the housing crisis. Communist Party leader Dimitris Koutsoumbas criticized economic policies favoring the elite, while civil servant Nikos Bosinakos urged fair pay for a dignified life.
