Greeks in Türkiye organized a Virgin Mary commemoration ritual in Tepeköy, Agridia Church in Gökçeada district, the first and only “cittaslow” in the world. The ceremony was attended by Metropolitan of Gökçeada and Bozcaada Kyrillos Sykis, despots and priests from different countries and members of the Greek Orthodox community. The attendees lit candles, read sections from the Bible and prayed.
