Greta Thunberg detained while protest in germany village

Climate activist Greta Thunberg was detained along with other activists during a protest against coal mine expansion in the village of Luetzerath, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

The protestors, including Thunberg, were blocked by the police as they approached the mining area. The Swedish activist was carried away by three police officers, who held her hands and feet and removed her from the area. She was then released 50 meters away after an identity check was conducted.
