Following the seizure of boxes carrying the electoral results of the elections held on August 20, citizens and members of indigenous organizations protested in front of the Public Ministry’s headquarters. The protesters held a sit-down strike in front of the prosecutor’s office building, calling for Attorney General Consuelo Porras to resign. The strikers said that they would keep going through the night, waiting for Porras’s resignation.
