Three people were killed and 4 others have been seriously injured after an armed attack yesterday evening at Field’s AVM, one of the largest shopping centers in Copenhagen, Denmark. Police Chief Soren Thomassen stated today at a press conference about the attack that a 22-year-old Danish man was detained in connection with the incident. According to Thomassen, there is no evidence that the incident was linked to terrorism. The suspect, who was found to be carrying a rifle and ammunition, is expected to appear in court today.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims, adding that the country has experienced a brutal attack.
