In honor of Roman Emperor Hadrian’s visit to Antalya, cleaning operations have begun at Hadrian’s Gate, a historic landmark built on the city wall. The Üçkapılar, a symbol of Antalya, is also undergoing lighting work as part of planned repairs following the cleaning process.
Hadrian’s Gate, a significant historical site, is being cleaned and restored by expert teams from the Antalya Governorship Investment Monitoring and Coordination Directorate (YİKOB). The cleaning aims to remove dust, grime, and signs of wear, preserving the gate for future generations. This process will enhance the visibility of the intricate motifs and patterns and brighten the blackened sections. YİKOB has announced the commencement of these efforts to ensure the monument’s preservation and accessibility for years to come.
