Hamas Releases 3 Israeli Prisoners

Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, handed over 3 Israeli prisoners to Red Cross officials to be taken back to their countries in the 4th exchange held as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Two Israeli civilians, Ofer Calderon and Yarden Bibas, were released in Khan Younis in the morning hours, while US-Israeli dual citizen Keith Siegel was released at the Gaza Port later in the day.

Israel is expected to release a total of 183 Palestinians in the coming hours, including 18 serving life sentences, 54 serving long-term sentences, and 111 detained after October 7, 2023.
