Handler died after tiger attack in Mexico

Jose de Jesus, 23, who was a handler on a private farm in Periban, Michoacan, Mexico, was attacked by a tiger on the farm on 11 June. Jesus, who was seriously injured in his hand and arm as a result of the attack, was taken to the hospital by the ambulance. It was reported that Jesus, who was under treatment and whose condition was stated to be critical, refused the doctors’ offer of arm amputation and died in the hospital due to diabetes.

Relatives of Jesus claimed that there was a lion and crocodile, as well as a tiger, on the farm. Authorities have launched an investigation over the legality of farm and the animals.
