Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano poses no risk to main road

The lava flow continues on the world’s largest active volcano, Mauna Loa, which erupted on November 28 after remaining inactive for 38 years, on the Big Island of Hawaii, USA. The lava flow no longer poses a threat to the main road on the island, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) said. Drivers no longer need to use alternative roads, and the lava flow has decreased significantly over the past few days, an HVO official said in a statement.
