The paramedics, who demonstrated in Paris, France’s capital, to demand better working conditions and pay, accused French Health Minister Olivier Veran and French President Emmanuel Macron of being unresponsive to their demands. Health professionals claimed that President Macron and Health Minister Veran left people to die in their homes.
Despite the French government’s announcement that nurses’ and patient caregivers’ wages would be increased due to long working hours, the health professionals’ expectations were not met. The protest was also supported by some lawmakers.
