Flooding caused by heavy rain hit the eastern part of United Arab Emirates. The country witnessed unprecedented historical rainfall on a number of residential areas and neighborhoods. Within a few hours, Fujairah experienced rain with a total depth of 170 mm. Some streets and squares in the Fujairah and Ras al-Khaimah were closed after flooding, where cars were submerged.

Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has directed the Ministry of Interior to send emergency teams from all of the UAE’s emirates to assist with rescue efforts in Fujairah and the eastern regions of the nation.

No casualties or injures have reported.
