Heavy Rainfall Triggers Deadly Floods in Japan

Heavy rainfall in Japan’s Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, and Gifu provinces has led to severe floods and landslides, causing seven deaths and widespread damage. Authorities have called for the evacuation of approximately 123,000 people from at-risk areas and issued flood alerts for several rivers. The Japan Meteorological Agency warns that heavy rain could continue to pose threats today.
