Northern Iraq faced severe flooding due to heavy rains, resulting in a death toll of four people. The governorships of Baghdad, Erbil, Duhok, Kirkuk, Mosul, Wasit, Anbar, and Diyala declared official holidays in response to the adverse weather conditions, excluding municipal institutions and security forces. The city of Duhok experienced the most significant impact, with the death toll rising from 2 to 4 individuals. Additionally, a 15-year-old child died from electric shock during the flood. In southern Iraq, heavy rains caused a house collapse in Zikar city’s al-Rifai district, leaving a woman severely injured.
