Southern Brazil experiences winter season where the temperature dropped to minus 10 degrees Celsius. Heavy snowfall gripped the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. The streets covered in white in at least 13 cities, including Pelotas, Sao Francisco de Paula and Carlos Barbosa.
