Heavy Snowfall in Tokyo: 160 Injured, Flights Canceled

Heavy snowfall in Japan’s capital Tokyo and surrounding areas resulted in at least 160 injuries, with 132 flights canceled at Haneda Airport. The Kanto-Koshin and Kanto regions experienced significant disruption to daily life. Injuries were reported in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama provinces. Flight cancellations affected Haneda Airport, while intercity highways closed for safety. Bus services and train operations were canceled or delayed across various prefectures. Transportation disruptions have largely normalized after the Japan Meteorological Agency lifted the heavy snow warning issued earlier.
