Two people were killed when an MD 369 helicopter crashed into a river barge near East Alton, Illinois. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that the helicopter struck power lines over the Mississippi River before crashing. Firefighters extinguished the resulting fire, and the river was closed to traffic. An investigation is underway
