The Israel Defense Forces announced that around 40 rockets were fired from Hezbollah positions in Lebanon into northern Israel. Some of the rockets were destroyed by air defense systems but others caused damage in the region.
Loud explosions reportedly broke out in the Kiryat Shmona and Upper Galilee regions, as well as in the village of Margaliot.
