Hezbollah launched at least 105 rockets into the northern Israeli city of Haifa and its surrounding areas within an hour, escalating ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), 85 rockets were fired between 12:11 and 12:15 local time, with most neutralized by the Israeli Air Force, although some landed in Haifa Bay and the Galilee region.
In a second barrage between 12:43 and 12:46, another 20 rockets were launched. A 70-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel, and several buildings in Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin were damaged.
