Hezbollah Supporters Protest Lebanon’s Disarmament Decision

Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon took to the streets after the Lebanese cabinet approved a US-backed proposal to disarm all non-state armed groups, including Hezbollah. The cabinet’s four-stage plan calls for disarmament in exchange for the US halting attacks on Lebanon and withdrawing from five southern locations. Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem recently rejected the proposal, arguing it would leave Lebanon vulnerable to Israel.
