High-Rise Collapses in Thailand After Myanmar Quake, Killing One

The 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude earthquakes in Sagaing, Myanmar, also caused casualties in neighboring Thailand as a 30-story building under construction collapsed in the capital, Bangkok.

One person died and 43 people went missing after the building collapsed, said Thai authorities.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced a state of emergency in Bangkok after an emergency meeting.

The earthquake was also felt in other neighboring countries China, India and Laos
