hikers visit turkey’s gümüşhane for spider forests

A nature walk was organized with the participation of 175 athletes in the Spider (Örümcek in Turkish) Forests. The forests host hundreds of years old giant trees, and in autumn they offer a visual feast for visitors. The Forests are described as living tree museum of Gümüşhane as they hold waterfalls, endemic plant diversity and many tree species.

The place is called Spider Forests due to its dense vegetation. It has an area of 2,630-decare of land, which was declared to be a “Spider Forest Nature Conservation Area” in 1998.
