Historic Santa Ruins in Gümüşhane, Türkiye

The Santa Ruins in Gümüşhane, referred to as “paradise in the valley,” are a blend of historic architecture and natural beauty. Founded by the Greeks in the 17th century, the site comprises seven districts each showcasing the era’s distinctive civil architecture. As a significant cultural heritage site of the Eastern Black Sea Region, it’s recently become a magnet for Arab tourists. Recognized as an endangered archaeological and natural site, it’s now a protected area. The ruins, rich in artifacts and located 1,500 meters above sea level, captivate visitors with their historical grandeur and natural landscapes.
