Ayazini village, a 3,000-year-old settlement nestled in Türkiye’s historic Phrygian Valley, is experiencing a surge in summer tourism as vacationers and returning expatriates flock to the area. Recent aerial footage highlights the bustling activity among the region’s ancient rock settlements, tombs, and natural landscapes, which collectively resemble a vast open-air museum. Tourists are taking advantage of the season to explore the archaeological sites and photograph the physical traces of millennia of history. Highlighting the destination’s unique appeal, local shopkeeper Şerife Karakol described Ayazini as “practically an open-air historical museum,” extending an open invitation for travelers to “see and feel this historical atmosphere up close.”
