A part of the historic mosque in the Kaduna province of Nigeria collapsed during evening prayers. Ten people were found under the rubble during search and rescue efforts. Twenty-five people were injured as well. Authorities said they had observed a crack on a wall of the mosque the previous day and were planning to have it repaired.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the collapse.
