Hong Kong Police Chief Chow Yat-ming said the death toll from the November 26 fire in the 31-story Wang Fuk Court complex has climbed to 159. Authorities have identified 140 victims, aged between 1 and 97, while 30 people remain missing.
Twenty-one suspects have been detained on manslaughter charges as the criminal investigation continues.
