Hongkongers pay respect to their ancestors in Qingming Festival

Thousands of Hongkongers headed to cemeteries to sweep and care for their ancestors’ graves in celebration of the Qingming Festival, which falls on the first day of the fifth solar term of the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. The worshippers lit incense and brought offerings for their deceased loved ones. The festival was not been held in the last three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
