A house laying in a valley in India’s southern Kerala collapsed during a landslide caused by floods, authorities said 25 bodies have been taken out of debris flow. Eleven bodies have been taken out of Kerala’s Idduki region while 14 other bodies were found in the debris in Kottayam where dozens of houses flooded, authorities said. According to officials, basic needs were sent by military helicopters to locations where people stranded in their houses. A bus was full of passengers was filmed by an amateur camera while being evacuated in other part of the region.
Country’s prime minister, Narendra Modi said in a tweet “It is unfortunate that several lives were lost in heavy rains and landslides in Kerala. Condolences to the families of the deceased.”
