Huge waves sank dozens of boats and caused major damage to them on the coast of El Nuro in the northwestern Piura region of Peru, South America, during a storm.
More than 100 fishermen were stranded at sea and called for emergency assistance.
Authorities stated that the adverse weather conditions will continue until January 1st and decided to temporarily connect 81 ports, 43 in the north and 38 in the center.
