Over the past two weeks, Northern India has been devastated by catastrophic floods and landslides caused by continuous heavy rains, leading to over 100 deaths. Himachal Pradesh was the hardest hit, with 88 reported fatalities, significant infrastructure damage, and hundreds of homes destroyed or partially damaged. The capital, New Delhi, experienced severe flooding after the Yamuna River reached its highest level in 45 years. Authorities have evacuated at least 30,000 people, with ongoing search and rescue efforts in various regions. Further rainfall is expected in the coming days.
