Hundreds of people took to the streets in Athens to protest against police brutality after 20-year-old Nikos Sampanis was killed by the police in Greece. The 20-year-old Nikos Sampanis and his 16-year-old friend were escaping the police after stealing a car, where they disobeyed the stop warming and got shot. Protesters, most of whom were anarchist groups, shouted pro-democracy slogans while protesting police brutality with banners. Police intervened with tear gas to disperse the crowd who blocked the roads.

It was reported that the 7 police officers who opened fire on Nikos Sampanis and his 16-year-old friend were arrested on charges of willful murder.
