Hundreds Rescued After Snowstorm On Mount Everest

About 350 of 1,000 people stranded on the eastern slope of Mount Everest in Tibet after a snowstorm have been rescued, while contact has been made with more than 200 others, Chinese media reported.

Rescue teams and local villagers have brought survivors to the town of Qudang, with operations continuing to reach those still trapped. The storm, which began on October 3, blocked access to the area and left hundreds of hikers stranded in mountain camps.
