Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar was spat at by an elderly man shouting, “How dare you come here?” during a live social media broadcast at a Budapest train station. Walking alongside Transport Minister David Vitezy, Magyar calmly replied, “Enjoy your meal,” and later referred to the attacker as one of the “remaining faces of Fidesz.” He attributed the hostility to “political propaganda funded by public resources” tied to former Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government, suggesting that such angry individuals need “understanding and comfort” rather than retaliation. Describing the assailant as a “Fidesz llama,” Magyar announced he will neither press charges nor seek additional personal protection, despite experts labeling the event a “serious security lapse.”
