Keith Pearson, the sheriff of St. Lucie County in the US state of Florida, reported that Hurricane Milton, which reached in the state at Category 3 overnight and weakened in time, caused at least one death. Mentioning that hundreds of homes across St. Lucie, including a 10,000-square-meter storage facility, were “completely destroyed, Pearson added that multiple people had been rescued as well.
According to the National Weather Service, at least 27 tornadoes were reported in the state of Florida.
