India has successfully launched the unmanned spacecraft, Chandrayaan-3, marking its potential to become the fourth nation to achieve a controlled lunar landing. The spacecraft, developed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is set to collect data and conduct experiments on the Moon. The $75 million mission follows India’s earlier lunar expeditions: Chandrayaan-1, which discovered water molecules on the Moon, and Chandrayaan-2, which failed to land despite entering lunar orbit. Chandrayaan-3 is anticipated to land on the Moon’s south pole between August 23-24.
