India Issues Heatwave Alert for Seven States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has recently issued a heatwave alert for seven states, according to officials on Sunday. The affected regions include Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, south Haryana, West Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and north Madhya Pradesh.

The IMD predicts that these areas are highly susceptible to heatwave conditions, posing potential risks to the residents. Moreover, Odisha is expected to experience hot and uncomfortable weather over the next five days. Similarly, the Konkan region, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are also likely to face scorching temperatures until Monday.
