Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said India will respond “very, very determinedly” to any military attacks, during the 20th India-Iran Joint Commission Meeting in New Delhi.
Addressing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, Jaishankar stressed India’s response to recent attacks from Pakistan was “targeted and measured,” stating, “We have no intention of escalating tensions, but no one should doubt our resolve.”
The two ministers also discussed economic ties, regional stability, and the Chabahar Cooperation Agreement. Arakchi highlighted Iran’s commitment to deepening economic cooperation with India and emphasized the importance of stability in South Asia.
